I feel really stupid here, but what's supposed to happen once I've put a message on the Snowbuddy link?.. I can't seem to see any responses on there, or even any new messages after mine on Page 27 - and I can't believe I'm the last person to put anything on there since yesterday morning, or am I??
You may have guessed that I'm new to forums and don't really know what to expect, but I thought I might have had a few replies from other people, in Tignes (Val Claret) between 15th and 22nd December, by now. I'm ready and prepared for my first solo holiday (and my first time skiing at that), although someone to share some fun and laughs with would be more than welcome.
Feel free to stick the knife in if I've been dumb and I'm missing something obvious, by failing to navigate this forum correctly, when in fact I've had other replies...?!!

@Mezza, the snowBuddy thread is slightly different from a normal forum thread. It isn't designed for conversation. It's for snowHeads to list where in the mountains they plan to be so that once there, if you find yourself at a loose end, you can see who else is in town and may be up for a run, a beer, a lunch, whatever.
It's still building as a facility and while some weeks in some resorts might have a great list of snowHeads in town, others may still only have the odd one or two. But, we get more traffic on it each year and more snowHeads get to meet up as a result of it each year - so on the basis that every little helps in bringing snowHeads together, it's still being improved every season.

@Mezza, if you go back to the first page of the snowbuddy thread and just below where you can enter where you're going, click on the country then a list of who's, where and when listrd them by resort.
Currently there 2 of you listed for.ValC and there's a group over in VD Inc' a second week skier. You could also ask on the Tignes thread where there's a few people.

You could book on some group lessons - good way to meet people of a similar skiing level.

I'm hoping to get to Tignes before Xmas but my usual buddies can't do this year's annual trip...
How are you getting there, I usually drive down from Calais but it's too expensive on my own - happy to consider a car share if that's of any interest?
