Claude B, A1(M) Peterborough section was about the best the roads could be on the way home last night. I think it snowed for the whole journey from Serre Che back to Durham, with perhaps a bit of rain/sleet in the Dijon-Chalons sections. M11, M25 and M20 were awful.

Hells Bells, It actually stopped about 11pm in the end and didn't continue through the night so today's OK. About 6" yesterday though.

Claude B, it has been snowing here since probably 11pm last night, although it had been showery throughout the day.
Lighter falls (I think) during the night, but it has snowed heavily since about 7am, and still snowing. Heavier wet stuff today.
