All our minibuses have snow tyres but do we need them for the luggage trailers as well ?
Only 2 mininbuses need trailers as there is no luggage space in 17 seat transits.
Has anyone got a link to the rules
Cheers

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

I'm currently imagining exciting trailer-fishtailing action as you go round an icy corner with a loaded trailer on nice slick tyres.
My overactive imagination and natural pessimism are quite independant of any legal requirements for your vehicles though, so I can't help you with that bit.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Boredsurfing,
Yeah I know - will put winter tyres on the trailers
I would rather not have to use the trailers at all, but Ford seems to forget that people have luggage
Oh well

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

You'll need to Register first of course.

From memory in Germany at least Snow tyres are supposed to be fitted on all Axles and vehicles (regardless of home country), so I guess that would include a trailer.
But as always it is likely to vary from country to country.

Yep they both have full size roof racks, but these are only for carry skis.
You can't load over 300kg onto the roof and expect everything to go right ?.
I have done it, as a test, just to see what happens - quite scary, so skis go the roof and any luggage will go into a trailer.
The trailer will only be used for small groups to/from airport as we have a contreact with a number of bis companies for larger groups.
The roof rack will be used most days as we run day trips to other resorts on the same pass (passo tonale, pajo3000, etc). It will also be used when we get the (all too frequent) calls from clients stuck in a resort they skied down to, too late to get the lift back up again in time to get home

Ah, right. Yeah, I guess the weight is an issue with the roof rack.
