Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Chasseur, No we don't run race training in resort as it is a bit specialised and requires a lot of kit... We do some intro days at Hemel which are a laugh with markers and stubbies. If you are after masters race SL or GS training I would drop a PM to Philbo , he is running gates training in Tignes and Pila this season, tell him Scott sent you...

skimottaret, I think proper race level training would be too much. Technical training to generally improve position/control and some "fun" racing would probably be about the limit, in spite of a competitive streak. Might look into the Hemel thing - only 45 minutes away, so not a drama getting there. Thanks.

Chasseur, we tend to run those days in the off season when it is quieter on the slope, everyone tends to get really into it and the day flies by...

I noticed GB does this with Interski. Looks great fun, but not cheap.

skimottaret, you need to get your feet further from the gates, you're 'squeezing' your body up at the gate and that's blocking your skis from working properly.

Philbo, yup, in an effort to stay tight I was pinching the gates, hoping to do better and get some bigger angles in a couple weeks....

day one and totally knackered on the 2012 version... as we weren't moving enough at the transition between turns coach lays a pole at the transition point of gates 2-6 and we had to jump it and airborne edge change to stay in the course. "What happens if you run one over or land on it?" You have a bad crash says the coach.... and I thought I was harsh Toofy Grin Toofy Grin

Looks such fun, I'd love to have a go! I bet it's one of those things where people like me would think I'm in some sort of racing crouch but the reality is way off..

Brilliant photos/vids!
