Poster: A snowHead
|
They were a gift form a client, but I suspect they are rather special. They are double ended, grey with green inner and half of a carp on each and some Japanese characters, and are un-drilled (i.e. virgin new)
As carvers they are probably too good for me, but am not sure the best way to sell them. They are around 2m from tip to tip, and I suspect they might be a very limited edition.
Does anyone have any thoughts as to what they are and what there're worth?
Thanks
Nick

kensalnick,
hi nick
philip volkers who runs a ski chalet in la rosiere had them made in sweden .
he was selling them at a discounted rate of 300 pounds to friends.
they are brilliant skis
the are a bit like super g skis but with a bit more flex and camber .
they go really fast and stable but take a day or so to get use to on piste as they are so wide they are hard to get up on edge.
they arent for turning much on . you tend to do everything in about 4 turns.
once you get use to them though you will never want to ski anything else.
they are a bit like a hummer that goes a 120mph.
