Flying out next weekend for a dads and lads trip in a self catered apartment in Tignes. Watching all reports with slight nervousness, but at least the v cold temperatures earlier in the month has preserved the snow well. Just hope there's still some decent amounts left for us lot once all the kids have gone back to school!

Snow is still pretty good - pistes are in good condition, although many are getting very hard, and the steep sections are mogulled. Still some nice snow off piste although of course it's all heavily tracked - think you'll need skins, luck, or really know where you are going to find fresh stuff. Much warmer the last couple of days, and brilliant sunshine all day, so will be nice for families or sitting outside with a beer. Quite crowded this week and probably next with Parisian school holidays, but not unbearable, particularly if you avoid the resorts and link lifts at lunchtime. Lots of boarders too - can't they ban them from the Sache?

Definitely you will on the ground. Whether there will be any falling is a bit harder to predict.

I'm going that week so there will be loads of snow. I went the same time last April (much worse than this year snow wise) and most of the ski area was open plus the link to Val.

How's the road up to Les Brev and Le Lac at the mo? And (I realise you can't see into the future), what's it likely to be like as the week progresses, with a bit more snow on the way?...
We're heading up on Saturday, and after an entire Winter of getting away without needing snow chains I can't be bothered learning how to fit them at the end of bloody March!
I take it that rockfall has been cleared by now has it?

paulio, Roads clear of snow, they've got lights at rockfall tunnel as its down to one lane.
Snowed on an off most of today, more on the brev / boisses side.
Snow is ok, prob about average for the time of year perhaps a little better

today was a bluebird day, plenty of good snow around too.
sadly only had a couple of hours proper playtime before coming back to meet the girlfriend after her private lesson with TDC
started snowing at 3.30 and looks like it'll be all night
