Great video Meh, the Swedes are some sick bunch aren't they? Rocking into Alpine resorts and nailing stuff with impunity like they own the place.

Solitaire is up on iTunes now although only the SD version to buy which is balls.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Times like this when I'm reading the various bountiful snow reports and dreaming about the anticipation of people in those resorts just waiting for the lifts to open so they can get up and hit the powder, I like to drop this one...
enjoy it you people who are lucky enough to be out there and in line to put in the first tracks when the storms die down:
This is what off piste skiing should be like. Not flapping about like a gringo for a few hours and feeling 17 different types of pain in my back and legs the next day.

Yeah he's pretty sick alright, and I love his style, just lets the skiing do the talking, no ego. Working my way slowly through the rest of his vimeo stuff, there's a pretty good one where he comes back from holidays and his mates have built a ramp (!). I also love the Mallory one I posted above.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

A one footed spin from switch while overtaking other skiers made to look like its a doddle. I am, it must be said, a little jealous.
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

thebongolian, Nice vid. Makes me very jealous and also kicking myself that I didn't splurge on a Japow trip this year.
You know it makes sense.

Indeed, but the best bit must be when, after the effortless back flip and 360, he creams the unsuspecting newbie at 1.27...

Great production sir, I've always wondered how you do time lapse on a digital camera? Are you using an SLR or just something small? Also how do you do the time lapse panning, is that done digitally afterwards?

8611, thank you - glad you liked it. Did the timelapse with a gopro which has a timelapse mode. As the original pictures were 5MP I coul turn them into a video at stupidly high resolution then pan and zoom within that in editing software while still being able to export at 1080p. I use QuickTime to stitch the original video together then iMovie or final cut pro x to do the pan and zoom.
This thread in danger of fizzling out, and with Summer around the corner, we need it more than ever.
As such, here's two stoke injections, DIY Chamonix style. These vids will get lost in a youtuube search among the myriad other random (crap) shots of people's holidays in Chamonix, unless, like me, you've been watching them twice a week for the last few years.
