jonm, TDC Performance Clinic (2 x 3 hours) with Gavin. There are 5 of us and the max they take is 6 so 1 space left. If it's just us, as it was last year, he will cover more or less want we want.

Hi Snowheads! Just came across this forum today when I was trying to find out a bit more about the Tignes camp. There are 2 of us going from Dublin on 23 Nov. We're camp virgins and reading through the forums on last years camp, it sounds like it'll be good oul craic! Can anyone let me know more about the actual 'testing' bit? Are you up and down the same runs with different skis each time? Also, my mate's a beginner. Will she be able to get lessons or will she be at a major disadvantage? She's a bit worried she'll be the only one.. Anyone else on here going over for the 23rd? Cheers!

Steady Eddy, Don't know about the lessons, but you get to keep the test kit all day, they kit you out the night before IIRC. If you want to test some of the more popular stuff, get in there early and get your name down.

Steady Eddy, Lessons are available, you can book direct with Mountainsun - best to do that in advance. If she's the only one that would be great - private lesson!
You get to keep the kit all day as the chalet is in Les Boisses and to get back during the day is not so easy, especially if the home run isn't open at that time of year.

Went last year the testing element is you picking equipment, Son's went from ski to snowboard to ski. Awesome kit, quality staff with positive can do attitude. Going back again in Dec. Good accommodation excellent food. Cannot wait. Have fun and enjoy. Hotel has all you need bar, wifi, Sky TV sauna and warm tub outside. Pick up was on time. Any questions please ask. Mick R

I see there's world cup skiing on in Val D'Isere on the weekend we're there again, anyone going to go and watch? (Jerry?) Wondering whether or not to take my SLR to try and get some pics.

jonm, Yes, we went over for the Slalom last year (I think Jerry did for the GS too). Definitely planning it again this year, it's on the Saturday and Sunday I think. Bit of a pain getting there as so many runs are closed off for the racing but it's worthwhile.
