I think it is all in the ski choice... I recon you need a good 70% + on speed to get in the 1:50's.

I ended up creating a new account - that seemed to work OK, but trying to sign up with last year's account I got "this username registered to a different version" or something similar

there is also a logging in option in the actual game (that says it accepts 09 user names) as well as online... do either work?

So it seems from the ghosts that everyone else is going for a bit more finesse than my gun ho style. People seem to be getting round corners on some sort of racing line as opposed to my violent swinging from one side to the other. On the upside i have the first section dialled.

If you are going to do a Wednesday race, can you consider making it later (or the period longer if you can), as I'm rarely on the home computer at all before 9PM, and sometimes later.

I haven't got below 2:11 yet, but then I have only managed to complete the course twice!
There is one particular section I always have problems with.

Averaging 2.04 now but seem to have got stuck there. Can shave a couple of seconds out of the top half with faster skis, but then loose it all in the technical section and finish slower...
Do we have to qualify again for tomorrows race?

The snow is a doddle to ski compared to normal and icey. It's just like using the beginners skis on the normal conditions. Just whack up the speed. I think i was on 10, 5, 85. The visibility made it a bit harder but it only seemed to be an issue on that fast section after all the tight bits.
