Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I have been offered Head Cyber 160 , 170cm for a very good price. I like skiing reds and blacks in good conditions but would like to move on to the next level.
I'm 178m and 80kg , so.... should i go for it.....?
Many thanks in advance for all the advice.

bluebull, Welcome to snowHeads the most friendly and informative site on the web (well for skiers anyway!).

I have a pair of Head C 140s of 170cm length and find them just fine for my (slight) ability and (excessive) weight. I am no sort of expert, but that sounds good to me.

I'm sure someone who knows something will comment soon. snowHead

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

bluebull,

If you want to go to the next level then something like the Head 1100 may be what you want. I would call this a slalom type race ski skiable down to advanced intermediate. You will not grow out of that and may revel in its piste skiing abilites.

I'm sure Wear the Fox Hat will put you right when he comes online.

bluebull, here's my review of the iXRC 1100. the C160 is a nice, comfortable ski. I guess it depends on how fast you want to go, and what sort of skiing you consider fun. The next step up you might want to consider is the iXRC 800.
Here's my review of the 1100...
