Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Best all round ski's

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I've had 20+ weeks on snow so i'm a fairly competent skier. Basically I'm looking for some ski's for the 09/10 season. I'm looking to spend a fair bit of time in the park (but i'm too cheap to buy two pairs of skis at the moment) and i'm also going to want to carve and go off-piste regularly.
Basically i'm looking for some kind of 'super skis' that suit all terrains..
I've been looking at the K2 Apache Outlaw's and also the K2 Raider's. Anyone tried out either of the two?

Does anyone have any other recommendations?

Thanks.

Hi,
The Scott Punisher might be worth taking a look at, it seems to fit the bill for what you are looking for. Cool

I could sell you a pair of unused 189 K2 Seth 08 model (pre extra width & softening for obsethed). the best allrounder for you is specific to you but this ticks most boxes.

All manufacturuers have great skis these days. Most important is you buy the right shape for the terrain you like to ski.

After that all you have to do is match colours with your ski suit, and boots, and gloves and hat. Or at least thats what my other half keeps telling me when she returns from the ski shop looking guilty.

nixmap, of course Laughing

I think the only way to truly match your ski suit with your skis, boots and bindings is for your suit to contain every neon colour possible. I might investigate further.

Take a look at Line skis, they make park oriented all mountain skis.

Bought em thinking I'd use them last season then decided to chicken out on my new ACL and stick with a shorter ski for the season - now got some new stuff lined up for the quiver if I can shift them. Cash wise £220 delivered in London

Kiwi1, I'm interested that you would reccomend a ski other than a WhiteDot. Does the WhiteDot The One not fit the bill?

Jumper, I have 60 pairs of Icelantic skis in stock and the Pilgrims are great. I used to be the UK and French importer before whitedot was ready to go public. Simple maths really. I need to sell the icelantics and they are a great ski that suit a wide range of skier (intermediate up).
All of the Ones in the first production for this season have already been sold in pre orders or to shops in France, Austria and Switzerland. 2nd Production in Jan So yes they would be very suitable but would be harder to get hold of in the UK.

skibum22 if you're looking for a ski for the park why oh why would you consider the Outlaws or Raiders!! Come to think of it why the Lords? Just my views but if i were looking for an all mountain ski I'd take a serious look at the Icelantics, Dynastar Big Trouble, Movement Kamasutra, Line Blend, WhiteDot One...all fine skis suited to park and all mountain riding...oh and skiied them all!

Thanks for all the advice, i'll try and demo as many as possible from the skis mentioned above and see which one suits me best..
Another quick question; I am 5'11 and 11 stone, what length skis should I be looking at?
