Nothing serious in Brackley, Northants. Bit skiddy on hill out of housing estate, but main roads clear. Nothing of any significance in Coventry.
Have heard from friends that the kids school has been closed as many teachers can't get in (which I struggle to believe) - but given as they have not called either me or Mrs Boris they can keep them

Boris, I will probably end up sleeping in the office before anyone thinks of sending me home, but as I am the manager, if it starts snowing heavily before closing time, I will introduce a severe weather policy and close the pharmacy early.

Annie,
From the Gatwick website:
Due to adverse weather conditions, airport operations at Gatwick are currently being affected. Flights may be subject to delay and cancellation and passengers are advised to check with their airline for further information.
With bus and rail services affected and difficult road conditions across the country, please take extra care and time if you do intend travelling to the airport. Check with Gatwick Express for the latest news on its rail service between London Victoria and the airport.
This appears to be the latest Geneva-GW bound flight info

Lots of snow in Brighton, unfortunately I can walk to the office from home, so no excuse not to come in or go home early... about 12 inches here in places, even seen someone wandering to the park with an ironing board tucked under his arm (I'm sure he's stolen that from a French ski hire shop - I've seen those rented out to novice boarders frequently). Shame it's not going to last, though I do need Gatwick fully operational by Sunday morning, as that is when I'm heading out to Sauze D'Oulx!!
Best snow I can remember down this near to the coast!

Annie, you can hook up to the free wifi outside the Swissport lounge on the top floor too. Usually nice and quiet there.

kitenski, there is a bar at some of the departure gates isn't there. Had a glass of wine from one of them I think. No idea if that is still the case, but can't imagine the business class lounges not having wifi for their customers.

Apparently they closed the school at 12 - but were relying on "word of mouth" to let parents know. As a result, our kids were 3 of only 10 left at the end of the school day - they could have called us of course, but apparently word of mouth was fine

Not impressed with it tonight - had to drive home from south of Warwick after dark, definitely not nice. Took me 3.5 hours, though it got easier further north.
