Aha, I think I can help here, for something to be 'wrong' there has to be a negative consequence, physically, socially, legally, ethically, morally etc. (IMHO) i.e it is “wrong” to wear sun glasses with no UVB protection, as there would be a negative consequence. Wearing an all-in-one ski outfit, rear entry boots, or sunnies is a personal preference, there is no negative consequence in doing so, if the wearer does not feel they should be dictated to by fashion etiquette, (which is what this discussion is about) and they don’t suffer with low self-esteem, or feel they need to be part of the “in crowd” to validate their competence or self-worth...they are not wrong, they are different from you!
Next you’ll be telling us that it’s ‘wrong’ to ski in anything other than a Spyder outfit, skis that are 3 foot taller than the skier, and boots designed for Super-G.... be daring, where what you find comfortable, effective and suitable for the job for which is intended...be an individual...get a life!!!
jedster, Very acceptable in Bumuda...

comprex, if you have soft ear covers, they fit fine, helmet still nice and tight, slim-line sunnies, normal, well-formed head, with large useful brain contained therein

Helmets are to protect you head and sunglasses your eyes and they are much more comfortable than goggles. I don't give a damn about looking cool - I'm there to ski, eat and drink , not win a "best dressed" contest .

More power to you but that is not what the thread opener asked about. That's why I made the comparison with wearing socks and sandals. I'm sure people who do that find it very comfortable and don't give a toss that most people think it is aesthetically bankrupt!

Ah. Thought I might provoke you (sorry).
I know it is good quality stuff but I find it a bit overdesigned, a bit bling. I also prefer wearing shells and layers and having gear that will work for piste skiing, ski-touring, mountaineering, etc. My shell jacket and sallopettes are both arc'teryx so I can't really criticise Spyder pricing that much but I think other stuff (e.g., arc'teryx) delivers better technical design and a nice understated style for the money. It's obviously a different set of priorities if you race.
I don't hate Spyder gear I'd just never consider buying it.

Yes guy,
It is really uncomfortable to wear the Sunglasses with the Helmet. It is better idea to wear a full face motorcycle with specs.

And there was me. I was considering wearing my sunglasses with my helmet. I'd even gone so far as to check that they fit.
Oh well, that's that idea down the pan - I can't be looking like a gaper.

OK let's build the perfect "no-no" "costume" for apres-ski:
- sandals and socks / high heels and socks
- (fluoro) fartbag
- speedo
- fake Chinese Sypder jacket
- Dare2b trousers
- helmet and sunglasses
...anything else?
Bonus for anyone who shows up like this at a sH bash!

You are jb1970 and I claim my £5.
I will spend it on ridding myself of what appears to be turning into an unhealthy obsession.....
