Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

ladies ski trousers

Schuss in Boots, I haven't noticed excess bagginess. The right size in a ladies jacket ends up looking like an A-line skirt though, which is a bit poor, especially if combined with the stupid belt arrangement. Laughing

Lizzard, Ok, cheers, will give it a go Very Happy It's a shame about the poncey jacket though.. I was thinking the belt would be a useful place to hang my goggles... Laughing

eng_ch, I don't know. If you're going for the full retro look it's essential to have your trousers inside your rear-entry boots, isn't it? Stirrups facilitate that.

I just bought a very good pair of ex-hire Colombia pants (black) for £10 from Filarinski in Havant. No stirrups, though.

Schuss in Boots, I've got a man's shell jacket - think it is a Berghaus goretex job [can't remember exactly]. It fits on the chest and shoulders, is too long on the arms and just about fits around the hips. You can certainly stuff in an extra scarf and carry all the rubbish you want in the pockets. Saves on a backpack Smile The prob I have with women's jackets is I am not an hourglass shape, so don't go in much at the middle, and most lady jackets have waists, hence mens are better fit. And certainly can do without the furry nonsense - I mean what happens when you are out enjoying a blizzard! snowHead snowHead snowHead

This thread has made me smile, laugh and cringe.

Shall we, ladies, give him a break and help him with some more creative ideas?

Find a pair of ski pants that look lady like, with some stretch fabric so that she has a better chance of fitting and feeling good while moving about.

I have some nice shell pants that are made by Isis. The fabric is water/wind resistant as well as stretchy. They also have an adjuster velcro strap for the waist to synch it up if they are a tad big. I love them for my ever changing body.
I'll look for the model number and post a link if I can

Not the same exact ski pants I have but very close.
Lots of great features to fit a woman's curves and move with her moves.

My other half also knows not to buy clothes for me. So for xmas he took me shopping yesterday for ski clothes. I know i'm not going to get a surprise, but at least I get what I want and they bloody well fit snowHead

And for a change I've got a pair of salopettes that ain't baggy around the hips and fit rather nice. I usually struggle to get them in the right length, I'm 5ft 4, but why do they think all women are 5.6 + Mad

I tried the Salomon Snowtrip II pants on in EB. They are super stretchy with a close, slim fit. They might be close to what you're looking for. The pic on the EB site doesn't do them justice.

my wife does say the same about me, mostly the latter though.

Zero-G, I will investigate further and if appropriate take her to the shop to show I was thinking without making rash decisions which could end up in the divorce courts (or worse).
