Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

It wouldn't surprise me at all if someone's typo has turned 32 into 23 and the industry has just accepted it as another edict from higher up to be blindly followed rolling eyes

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

This time round we flew out with one case at 25.5kg and one at 18kg and they didn't even bat an eyelid - our total luggage allowance with Jet2 was only 40kg as well!

Having a baby in a buggy certainly helped though - straight through the express line at customs/x-ray, somewhere to stash the (oversized) hand luggage while other people struggled carrying their etc...almost worth having a baby in itself Very Happy

Eureka! Fruity, there's your answer. No I don't mean get pregnant in the next few days. Get yourself a drawstring bag, pack into it various bits of your gear (no metal!), and tie it round your stomach. If asked, you are almost 6 months pregnant - with twins! I think airlines only have issues when you're over 7 months, so you shouldn't have any problem with anyone trying to stop you flying. That could give you another 3-5 kilos!

Think it was Simon Calder, Independant Travel writer, that wore all his clothes, including two jumpers and overcoat, through check in and security, then stuffed it all in a bag before boarding. You could try that to reduce check in bag weight.
