Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

It is funny how many people chose aspen. It is famous but I'd cross it off your list. If coming to the states there are so many better places to go than there. Try Jackson or Utah instead.

abc, I'm sure Helen knows that Colorado is a vast state, but having never visited she would not want to state a preference for one resort over another. Maybe you could give us your recommendations?

Truffaut - brilliant response!

I'm still chuckling 10 minutes after first reading it!

For those who've missed the subtle humour, have a look above (Fri 1 Feb 13.20).

It's amazing how many (allegedly) respectable skiers Truffaut's comments apply to.....

Like I said, it's not about Helen, or anyone else. It's similar to an American say: "Jackson Hole, Vail, France" as their potential 'resorts" to go.

When she does decide to go to Colorado, I'm sure she'll get lots of recommendations (including mine).

abc,see your point, but don't think this is typically a European failing- from my totally biased view of your fellow countrymen I could quite believe they would say, "Jackson Hole, Vail, France".
From an equally stereotypical stand point, I would like to visit Austria (haven't bothered to think of a resort)- not for the skiing but because I have a vision of pigtailed busty blondes in lederhosen serving huge tankards of beer!
Conversely I picture Vail, Aspen or Sundance as sunny pine lined pistes with Champagne powder up to your elbows, but hate the idea of being constantly told to "Have a nice day" and being "Super sized!"

JulesB, Just back from 4 days skiing Radstadt, Altenmarkt, Zauchensee, Flachuawinkl, Flachau, Wagrain. Apart from the first 2, we barely touched the others. A magnificent experience at half the price of the big French resorts, the best lift sytems in the world, and some wondeful skiing.
