I don't think I've ever seen so much snow fall so quickly here. We had nothing at 11.00 PM. Just went to chuck stuff in the bin and there must be 4 inches. I may not be able to get to work tomorrow (if there is enough to play in)...... hang on - do you reckon that excuse is valid when you work from home

got my first few runs of the season today on cavehill. down from the castle across the front lawn to the front gate. quite nice conditions. reasonable depth of powder but no base to speak of. I'd say the run is a green standard and if you bring a friend you can arrange uplift via the access road.

We are easily knee depth in Killinchy. Went to Dundonald earlier. I think they probably have around 24 " between Comber and Dundonald

Strange weather - Dropped one of the kids off about 3 miles away for a sleepover at 4.00PM today. Went to the shops, came home and it was chucking snow down. Between 6 and 8 we had about 8 inches of snow. Kid called us at 8 to say everything was OK blah de blah. I asked her if they were out building snowmen. She told me they hadn't had any new snow..... 3 miles?????? - how different can it be. Checked the outside temp on a mercury thermometer at 8.00 (don't trust car readouts) It was minus 8. Just went out to the bin and everything is thawing. Thermometer says it is +5 (and it feels like it)

You mast have been on the edge of the shower. Some serious temps ou there. -15 in the West to above 0 on the east coast!

You would think that near the edges, you might get a light dusting, but it seems the weather people are drawing lines on Google maps. Virtually no snow on the Comber side of Lisbane. 6 inches on the Killyleagh side, which is not more than 200 yards away

Holy smokes, i was speaking to ma earlier on and she reckoned they had 5 inches in Donaghadee. Dad said it was more like 8 so i reckon they have 4 there. And thats down by the water. Anyone in the country must be hitting an honest foot? And then some...
