Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Cardio-Pulmonary Resusciation.

Chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth breathing on someone who is not breathing and has no pulse. Although I think the current advice is just to do chest compressions.

You need to Login to know who's really who.
The advice regarding just doing chest compressions stems from people's aversion to going mouth-to-mouth with a stranger - especially as if you need to do CPR, there's a good chance that face is covered in something very unpleasant... There's also an issue of protection - if there's fluids leaking everywhere you could easily catch something by putting your mouth in harm's way. Even if you start off with a clean target, relaxation of muscles that occurs during unconsciousness can lead to stomach contents reappearing.

One of the best little first aid devices you can carry around is a face shield:

It blocks everything other than air - a much more pleasant proposition.

If you just do chest compressions you are still doing a lot of good though - you're circulating the oxygenated blood around his body. What you're not doing though, is putting any more oxygen into that blood. The advice to just do compressions comes from the thought that it's better to do some good than to think 'ugh, no thanks' and do nothing at all.

Thanks!

If you work with instructors, it would be nice to keep on touch, as my future mission is to try support young people in way to their dreams, as no matter what is the result - the WAY to them make people better, smarter, happier, wiser etc.

p.s. i spend 2,5 years to get there and lost of some relationships. It can be done with out loosing nothing, sometimes people just have problems with - make decision, go for it and stay focused...
I am riding with board already for 13 years, so homework must be done anyway...
