Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

BGA, very lucky! As you say timing was perfect for that day. On the Tuesday night people started drinking, I went home to bed. The following morning I had trouble getting people up early, but I was keen. I hit the first lift with some guys before hooking up with some friends for these shots.

spyderjon, No, it's the 'steep' section (a lesser skied section right between the middle band of trees) on Vallon d'Arbi...

HurtleI don't know the names, but if, instead of going down the Tortin run you head out left along the ridge and drop off to the left it is down there, (and with a lot of traversing we ended up at Tzoumaz).

Yes, I think you may be about right BGA, but we didn't go to the Rock Garden. I think the other one was further down the same route but till I've looked through about 400 photos more carefully I'm not sure Shocked
I can't remember without getting maps out which the Col des Mines is .

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much
Right. It looked like the area underneath Lac 3 where you come down, then traverse across to the side of the lake and then walk up to ski Rock Garden. If you went into Tortin then traversed all the way across over the ridge into the next bowl then that's the Col des Mouches
snow conditions
 You know it makes sense.
You know it makes sense.
The Col des Mines is the big bowl area that you can see to your left as you go up in the Funispace. You get to it by skiing down Lac des Vaux then heading off left as if you were going to the Vallon d'Arbi but instead of heading down there you keep left, going along a sh*t scary traverse then come out on the Col, then ski down the front face down towards Verbier. It's a beautiful run but I hate the traverse

but till I've looked through about 400 photos more carefully

Good effort! I've got a similar number from last season. The benefits of digital!
