Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Post some stoke

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
To tide us over the endless barren summer months how about a "stoke" thread (shamelessly ripped off from TGR). It doesn't have to to be epic just a photo you have taken or have had taken of you that captures some of the joy of skiing/boarding or reminds you of the season.

I suspect we'll be deluged by old photos of Stanley Matthews and some nice pottery. rolling eyes

Anyway this is a mate getting some (and its actually steeper than it looks if the trees are vertical just the photogr is incompetent wink ).

Edit to accomodate WTFH's suggestion

It's not a particularly brilliant photo per se, but I quite liked this one that we took last year. I love all the various tracks in the snow.

NB. Not quite sure how to do this bit, so bear with me if it doesn't work first time......

OK, I put round a snowMedia zone web address, what should I have done?

I like to thing of forums as follows:

snowheads - tea, toast, british fair play, possible sporadic anti SCGB sentiment, some well humoured trolls, some skiing

dark summer - Uk freestyle scene

natives - UK 17-25 year old seasonnaires & ex plus a venerable moderator - not much skiing content

epic - obsessive preoccupation with minutiae of technique, gear etc but a nice bunch of folks

TGR - tight knit, flame wars, naked pics, but some top skiing content and some hilarious NSR threads

Otherwise you'll just go on seeing the one name:
T Bar, NSR = Non-Skiing Rant
TGR = Teton Gravity Research
Maggot = Member of the TGR forum. This name comes from the days when Powder Magazine in the US had a forum. Then they got new moderators, and put adverts all over the forum. The moderators removed posts that were critical of the companies who were advertising. A lot of members got up and left, and TGR welcomed them onto their (then) small forum.
