kitenski, points taken, especially about kids if due at school next day.
I agree with Frosty the Snowman, have found Jet2's prices over holidays to be shocking, but good luck

Ryanair did some reasonably priced Saturday evening flights at Easter this year from East Midlands and Stansted to Grenoble. I didn't book until late February and paid about £85 each out Easter Saturday, back the next Saturday.
However I'm going to go for 2 weeks next year at Easter and have decided to drive to fit all the gear in. Any idea when the ferries can be booked?

I guess they have blanket dates for their 'winter' season, which rather inconveniently for us stops midway through the ski season, usually sometime in the last week of March. Last year it was difficult to plan a late March trip as I could only book the outward ortion of the trip - had to wait until October(ish) for the 'summer' flights to be released. In the end I didn't bother and booked with Swiss instead.

Ryanair have some flights available now, e.g. Stansted > Friedrichshafen, penny flights (plus taxes, luggage etc). Not much from Up North though ... just Milan

There are some good prices for peak times from Brizzle. With Easter being especially good.
