Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

vernz1983, I've been to La Plagne once, and the snow was excellent, would definitely go back. I can't remember much of the nightlife, but I do remember one particular bar (I think it was at the bottom of that cable car that links the villages) ...we were in there most nights and if you missed the last cable car back to Plagne Aime (i think that was where we were staying) they would give you a free lift back in a 4x4....which was an experience in itself....I doubt we would have stayed on the road if it wasn’t for the huge banks of snow that he was bouncing off! Shocked

Nadenoodlee, yeah thats the one....I think I was equally drunk at the time, so it was quite an enjoyable ride...I never realised snow banks were a safety feature Cool

...also remember being given some godawful shots in that bar....my memory is a bit hazey, but i think i remember the bar being set on fire too?...

vernz1983,

I'm flying to Belle Plagne on the 6th Jan too - have you been before and if so, what's it like? I've been told it's a good situation, as it's high up the mountain, so access to the slopes is dead easy. What's the night life like?

We're going with Crystal on a late deal (£180 each for a a five-person apartment including flights and transfers) and they've said ski passes are £120 if bought through them – is it cheaper to get them when we arrive and if so, where do we get them from?

Can't wait to create some mayhem on the slopes!!!Smile

Specialman, Depends what type of pass you want- I think there were 27 different types/ variations last year! You can get a Paradiski pass for 6 days, or Just La Plagne, or a Decouverte, which gives you 1 day in Les Arcs. Have a look on the website before you go.

Nadenoodlee,

I'm a beginner so I'm not sure If I'll want to be galavanting around to try new slopes. I just want to learn how to board so i reckon a basic one for Belle Plagne would suffice - how much are they and what are the limitations?

Also, can you book them online hrogh the La Plagne website?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
Specialman, You can, you would just need a La Plagne pass- which covers a pretty massive area all the villages etc. Go to the La Plagne website- im sure its all linked on there. Belle Plagne is a nice place to learn to board!

Does anyone know how the passes work. As in do you have to scan them, or is it a photo ID. just wondering if I need one of those retractable pass clips?

Just keep the pass in the left pocket of your jacket and trousers (Nothing else should be in the pocket) Ski up to the turnstile pause and hey presto it open's Toofy Grin
