Hi what have you got out there, its a 21st present for my daughter, she's approx 174 in height around 10 stone id say ( bit rude to ask !) she's got a advanced standard, skied since 8 and did a ski season 2 years ago.
I’ve edited the subject a bit as maybe I’m being too specific , probably need more freeride but leaning towards the offpiste as this is where she wants to be . But limited to snow conditions whilst there now .
Recommendations are deffo welcome as well
Many thanks

I'm assuming you are looking for a second hand pair? Please ignore this if you are looking for a new pair
It would probably help your listing if you added your daughter's ski boot size in MP and also the sole length in mm (basically the same thing I know). Then someone with a pair available can easily tell if they would fit without re mounting the bindings.
When buying second hand skis I avoid re mounting myself due to the cost and faff saving.
I usually like to buy ex hire skis on rail bindings so I can be sure they will fit but it sounds like your daughter is at a higher level than me and may not be keen on an ex hire pair.

@Henwc, thank you, good idea I’ll goin the garage later and get boot size .
The pair she has at the mo are ex hire and have done her extremely well over the last 6 years. Now a tad short in reality for powder any how.
As it’s a 21st present I’m looking for some good condition.
She has a passion for Black Crows ( don’t we all!) so I may be looking for a pair of those .
Is there a reall difference between men’s and woman’s free ride ski ? I guess flex?

@bigtoe, no worries. as for men's v womens, I suspect maybe colourways and perhaps flex may change. I ride women's skis myself as it happens.

@bigtoe, No worries I hope you can find what you are looking for.
On the women's vs mens I have done a very unscientific test by comparing Armada ARV (mens) vs ARW (womens) all mountain powder skis in 185cm. It appears both pairs are identical in technical features with shape, weight and flex being completely the same. The only difference I can see is the colour and the fact the mens range goes up to a 192 cm version but the womens stops at 185cm.
You can see for yourself here:
Mens https://www.armadaskis.com/en-gb/shop-emea/product/arv-112-ra0537.html#color=43612&size=43546
Womens https://www.armadaskis.com/en-gb/shop-emea/product/arw-112-ra0544.html#color=43648&size=43546
There are reseller websites with black crows skis for example https://freeglisse.com/en/ but you won't really be able to tell the condition of skis from them until they arrive. I'd expect you to want a private sale because then you can be clearer about what condition they are in.
I don't know if it would suit your daughter but touring bindings are often more adjustable than regular downhill bindings so a touring setup might be worth considering.

@Henwc, Thanks so much, yes I wondered about a touring binding set up , she has done a small day tour at La grave when the lifts were shut due to wind. She felt the bindings felt more fragile , I’ve used the marker kingpin I think inthe past and didn’t feel any different from memory

@bigtoe, No problem, happy to help. I don't know much about touring bindings but there are people on here that will know everything. If you find a pair with touring bindings that look good I'm sure you'd get a view from the experts as to the durability or otherwise.

I've got a pair of Whitedot Ronde 96 in available belonging to another . 177cm. Done about 6 weeks I think but I'd have to check. In good condition.
They're drilled for Kingpin bindings (not currently mounted) for a (edit) 276 BSL. Bindings are vailable as well if you wanted them.

I’ve bought several sets of skis from here: https://www.skidoccasion.com/fr/3-ski over the years.
They offer a wide range of skis from New, and Test skis that are barely used, to ex rental ones.
Occasion means secondhand in French.
You can also find them selling through eBay UK or at least I have in the past.
I first came across them about 10 years ago when trying to hire off piste skis for my wife and son in Baqueira. I ended up buying two pairs of soul 7s which would deliver directly to the hotel in Spain and all cost less than hiring for one week per set.
These were X rental skis and the top sheets have been quite beaten up, but I knew that because of the description.
The bases were fully serviced and excellent condition as where the edges.
10 years later, we still using those skis and are very happy with them.
I also bought my slam skis from them which were a pair of top end Test skis and were absolutely immaculate when they arrived.

Talking of which my wife’s Soul 7s might be available as she hasn’t used them in several years. She’s 178 tall. They have a rossignol rail system so will fit any boot. DM if you might be interested and I can check with her and dig them out.
