ginger winger, what are your constraints:
Cost?
Travel?
Ski/boarder ability?
Numbers of people? (and their financial status...)

As i'm not sure what your requirements are, i will assume that the focus will be on the drinking not the skiing, i would have a look at Bulagria. It's cheap, the skiing is ok so long as there aren't to many advanced skiers in the group, and the beer is plentyful. The standard down sides that the reorts are full of drunk people and lap dancing clubs could be seen as a plus for a stag do. Think Prague on ice without the scenary. Not sure if this is what you're looking for though?

If you want a totally alternative event, Sophie was in Chamonix for a hen night and I went out to keep her brother in law company - as obviously he was excluded from the festivities. The girls had a marvellous time and Nick and I walked up to a refuge by the Lac Blanc - intending to sit up and put the world to rights.
Imagine our suprise when the barmaid wandered upstairs at 9.00 pm with a cheery "good night" and switched off ALL the lights.
We were breakfasted and off out down to Argentiere befolre the girls made it back from the nightclub. So if you want an unusually sober event, a hearty stroll in the hills followed by an abstemious evening in a refuge would work wouldn't it?
Just because I think it's totally trashy - how about Val d'Isere?
And totally left field, what about Rotterdam?
There's allegedly a snow dome nearby and you can party on down in the the outrageously bizarre De Apres Ski Hut

There was a hen night at Castleford a couple of weekends ago.
One friend has been on a stag do in Andorra. I think he is planning to go back for his own one next season.

to expand on why Chamonix. Its close to geneva and plenty of taxi firms etc to get you there etc so no driving needed. Loads of barsm restaurants and plenty of different standards/price of accom to choose from.
Only downside is getting a bus to the slopes in the morning/afternoon with a hangover!
Did my brothers stag do there, had a great time!
Cheers,
Greg

You know it makes sense.

Vegas? Yes there is a ski area nearby.
More traditionally Chamonix is usually pretty rammed with stag weekends, Morzine wouldn't be bad & you'd get the full Germanic cheesy experience at any one of a number of Austrian places.

If money wasn't a factor I would say Ischgl would be a good bet.
Excellent apres, assortment of nightclubs, 3 table dancing clubs, casino.
And a good late season snow record if you get chance to ski/board.
I wouldn't consider anywhere in France if nightlife is a major consideration.

stephen bleakley, What's wrong with French nightlife? Take Morzine for example - at least once a week it's "Sexy Bath Night" down at Le Paradis de Laury's. It doesn't get much better than that!
