Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I had to clear about 5mm of snow off my car when I set off from the Usteria Posta this morning to drive back to the UK. Quite heavy snow over the Brenner Pass and in Innsbruck and some over the Fernpass in Austria, but no snow beyond that and warmer once I got into Germany. Will be having an overnight stop in Saarbrücken then 2pm ferry from Dunkirk back to Dover tomorrow. A good trip!

@surferrosa, Nice. Igor knows about snowHeads so when you get there mention that you saw this thread about his hotel on this forum. Who knows, if I stay there again I might get a free drink or two as commission! Toofy Grin Actually talking of a free drink when I checked out Igor kindly offered me a complementary Haygrappa (Heuschnapps) which I'd tried a day or so previously after the evening meal. As the name suggests it's a distilled grappa/schnapps spirit made (in some way) with hay, and unlike some schnapps was very smooth tasting.

@richb67, no, I had my car with me so the day I skied at Kronplatz I drove there from the Usteria Posta. I was going to drive to the lift at Piculin (which is nearer than Kronplatz itself but links in to the Kronplatz skiing), but it had closed the previous day so I drove all the way to Kronplatz. This link may be of use: https://www.kronplatz.com/en/the-kronplatz/skilifts-slopes/ski-lifts

Edit: to answer your specific question about La Villa and Corvara obviously you can ski from Badia village (where the Usteria Posta is located) over to La Villa and then on to Corvara. Smile

thanks, yes I've always had a car so have never used the buses, but it's a group trip so some folks will need them. There always seemed to be a lot but I can't find details online!

Technically it's a horizontal lift rather than skiing.

thanks but this seems to be the regular bus rather than the skibus Sad the later have buses that just run Armentorla, Corvara, Colfosco, La Villa, Badia etc, maybe they'll appear on this list when the timetables are updated, thanks anyway.

La Villa seems a safer bet for the group.

@richb67, There is a Ski bus that runs from the Sponata lift to Piculin lift (for Kronplatz)

https://www.kronplatz.com/kronplatz/skirama/allgemein/connecting-skiers/Flyer_Connectingskiers.pdf

that may not be any good though -- not sure if it stops where you would need it..
