Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Titans are a cracking ski, I'm @ 76kg when these videos were taken, but feedback from the BASI coach was that they were too soft for me, so defo worth the OP trying I think!

This is on the red slalom piste (I think) @ Val D'Isere

Thanks for the advice everyone. In the end I went for the Head Magnums as I wanted the narrower waist and I found it at a good price.

I'm quite keen to get up to L2 BASI standard: I can do L1 and the subsequent teaching hours with the Armed Forces as I'm serving. I don't want a career as an instructor or anything it's just something for which I can aim. Should I realistically be able to pass L2 after ~40 weeks of skiing? I'll have somewhere between 1-2 hours per week one-to-one tuition if I can afford it. The 21 weeks I've done already were mostly guided/instructed via UCPA or similar.

@kitenski, thanks those are good vids. How did you find getting through BASI 2?

@boobleblooble, tougher than expected tbh. There is a big difference between recreational skiing and the specific skills needed for l2. I passed L1 fairly easily and thought I’d breeze thru l2!

A case of the more I learnt the less I knew, and it was very humbling to ski with some very good skiers, both the course instructors and two guys who went on to full cert!!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

In fact I might have a thread or two on here as I was going thru l2.... I’ll try and dig them out tomorrow.
