 Poster: A snowHead

Decent snow, with more forecast, along with colder temperatures next week.
I'm looking at practicalities of flying out Mon 25th, returning Sun 1 or Mon 2 May. Wondered if any snowHeads thinking about, or already committed to, anything similar? Me probably MAN-GVA, rent a car, preferably catered accommodation, not bothered if in Val D or one of higher Tignes villages.

Just back from Tignes, which I would recommend especially if you don't like slush. Val also shuts on the 1st so I suspect a lot of places will have shut, whereas Tignes is open until 8th May so some of the bars etc will still be open.

@chocksaway, thanks, yes have been following your excellent blogs and hope your journey home went well. Reassuring that snow still OK. Forecast for this weekend is more snow and temperatures significantly lower (max of -6c on Sun/Mon) than when we spent a couple of days there mid December. Funny old season. With freezing level well below 2000 next week, I hope, if I get there, to be fully enjoying the last of the winter powder!

@Lambo89, thanks. I'm taking very last minute decision. Have torn meniscus in one knee. Skied 3 weeks on it this season but troublesome right now. You planning to go?
