Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Aprés-ski forum game

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I have the beginnings of an idea for a Snowheads forum game - a sort of forum role playing game if you will - not to be confused with FRPG.

The topic title is prefixed with "APRÉS-SKI:" to help distinguish it as frivolous.
Then the name of a bar and resort. The country can be added if obscure, e.g. Bulgaria.
For example "APRÉS-SKI: Dick's T Bar, Val d'Isere"
The topic is implicitly posted at the time the bar normally opens in the evening, e.g. 6pm (even if local time is 11am).

The rules of the game are appended at the bottom of the first post, with something like [This is a game. For info see bottom] at the top.

The first post describes the bar (reminding us of its geographical location), and the weather/snow conditions of the day (real or imaginary) and the piste conditions, and the weather conditions in resort and outside the bar, at the time the bar opens. It may also describe special offers or events in the evening (live bands).

The first post may additionally include an introduction by the barman or barmaid (or description of them).

Each respondent's first reply describes their entrance into the bar, e.g. what they're wearing (ski gear or not), their condition, comportment, etc. It then describes their approach to the bar (or table), the drink they order, and a brief anecdotal description of the highlight of their (imaginary) day as if to the barman, e.g. their experience down a piste.

Each respondent's subsequent reply describes either a response to another patron, or a further action, e.g. ordering another drink, etc.

The first poster is responsible for keeping order and describing any further manifestations of the bar, e.g. bands starting up, Rugby going on the telly, kitchen closing, etc.

It is all supposedly imaginary, but hopefully based upon people's experience of the particular bar and/or resort. If people are unfamiliar with either resort or bar, then they'll have to wait for someone to post one they are familiar with (or do it themselves).

An APRÉS-SKI post may not be continued longer than 12 hours from first posting (the bar closes no later than 6am).

Ideally, no more than one APRÉS-SKI thread is created per day.
