Not depressed but a little peeved as we had two trips this year and snow was poor first time and second trip was only a long weekend and two days were very heavy fog and the biggest drop of snow all season is coming this week, and the resort closes next weekend and my season is over, buy hey hoy roll on New Year.
And to top it all, got results of MRI yesterday and I have a tear on my ACL, on the bright side at least it is t a rupture.

I am looking out at my pond and seeing a new clutch of moorhens (7) and they seem to have hatches before the crows have nested in the trees around us so I am hopefully their survival rate will be good this year but it does all indicate oddness in the seasons (early moorhens/late crow). I have still to ski in Canada in two and a half weeks time! When I get back however I want full on warm spring or I am off to somewhere warmer where I can strip back to a T shirt and be comfortable.

Not managed to go this year - first time we've missed in 12 years and usually two trips per year - Depressed ?yes, but when you've got 2 friends both diagnosed with terminal cancer last year and both keen skiers, it kind of puts it into perspective!

marksovereign, you're right, it puts things in a lot of perspective. Unfortunately there are no guarantees in life. Tough break for your friends.
I am sure the one thing they will never regret is their off-piste descents and when they maybe spent too much by going on an extra ski trip.
