Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Piou Piou Creche - Les Menuires - Reviews or first hand experience?

We are travelling to Les Menuires in a few weeks & have booked our 8 month old into the Piou Piou creche in Le Criosette, but cannot find any reviews online about it anywhere! Has anyone used this creche (or had a friend use them) & can give me a bit of info about how you found it?

DaniPalmer, hi - not sure whether these earlier threads below will be of general use. Our experience of French resort local crèches not great. Nothing horrible but staff seemed inexperienced, with inadequate staff:child ratios, struggling to cope with the children. When our child was a few months old we were called back several times to a screaming baby, simply due to lack of attention and stimulation from staff. Sorry nothing more specific and positive. I'd suggest asking about staff ratios before going and not straying too far from Les M on first day, until you're reassured everything is fine. I can recommend the views and slopes on La Masse mountain close by. Hopefully our experiences were bad luck and everything will be fine!
