Well spotted skichampcouk.
Any idea where it will finish in La Plagne?

Following on from rdsweb's post from a few weeks back, on the Roche de Mio webcam you can now see a line of supports for the new lift going down to Col de Forcle.

Just booked our easter trip with friends (first time taking all our babies) now to religiously stalk the webcams until easter.
We're staying in a 4 bed apartment in Les Balcons de Belle Plagne, does anyone know how big the kitchen areas are? 6 adults and 3 kids trying to work out how much food we can buy on the journey for our evening meals

If you can wait until January, I'll be able to tell you then - we're there 1st week

@Liv7, you asking how much storage there will be?
I've never known there to be insufficient and your chosen accommodation seems pretty high end so I wouldn't expect it to be an issue.

Hi, we stayed in a 5 bed apartment a few years ago and the kitchen was pretty spacious with quite a bit of storage. It had a decent enough fridge but we did store some things in a shady bit of the Balcony (early April) in a cheap coolbox we got in the Carrefour. We shopped for 5 days worth of meals on the way up and squeezed it all in. The freezer was not huge, maybe had 2 drawers but enough for a bit of frozen veg and some meat and most importantly ice for drinks! Full sized oven, microwave and a proper sized hob (might even have been 6 rings).

Some of the pictures on the website made it look more of a kitchenette, we didn't want to do a "big" shop and then have no where to store it

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Thank you sounds like we should be able to get by doing our usual come dine with me style evening meals!

Confirmed today, but just says "La Plagne" as the finish. However it gives the finish height as 2052m which AFAIK would rule out Plagne Centre

I believe the finish line will be in Plagne Villages

Oh right .. any details on where that info came from. TBF there's a nice big car park there for all the infrastructure.

@eblunt, One of the local residents has a Facebook page (not sure if she’s on here) and posted it on Facebook today that it was confirmed to finish in Plagne Villages.

roughly 1 month until opening weekend - not a flake of snow on the webcams (glacier aside!).......
Time for the snow dances and daily checking of webcams/snow forecast

Yup, Ruswit, snow right down to Plagne Centre and beyond.
In fact there is a sprinkling in Les Coches and Montalbert.
Lovely

@Ruswit, Much better! Snow dance clearly worked quickly this time

@chopkins13, We all owe you one!
Now obviously some is going to melt and we need to start hoping the fresh snow outpaces the melting.

Webcams show a blanket covering today across La Plagne, fingers crossed temps stay low and it’s the start of a base for the season.

The automatic meteo station on Bellecote (at 3,000m) has recorded just over 30cm of fresh snow today at that altitude.

Oddly the glacier web cam seems like it didn't get much snow, although it is barely possible to see out as it has a frozen lens. The roof of the gondola station is clearly visible, i.e not snow covered.
The rest of the resort looks dreamy, however!

50-60cm of fresh snow recorded at 3,000m.

@Ruswit, Probably just wind swept - the snow will be there somewhere! Hopefully this is the base for the season now and it says cold going forwards.
