Red Leon, this one is interesting (the Vignettes Hut, above Arolla). The kazi is the little hut at the end of the path extending to the right (on the picture) of the main building, just on the line of that falling ridge. It hangs over the edge of the cliff, and your doings could fall a good 500 feet. Unfortunately the cliff isn't actually sheer, so you get to examine bits stuck to the rock on the way down!

The bogs in Nepal (and some other places) which put the fear of God into me are those with boards, with a hole in, over a pit. The boards are obviously subject to constant dampening and appear distinctly rotten. As I am, at a conservative estimate, approx. twice as heavy as your average Nepali, I get a horrble feling feeling that the boards are going to give way and I'm going to plunge several feet into a pit of hell. It never happened, but it doesn't half make it difficult to concentrate on the crossword.

And Austrian toilets, whilst we're on the subject - what are they all about?? A nice little shelf where it can all drop onto for you to examine after at your leisure?
Part of the technique is to ensure that you lay down a paper sledge before laying the offending jobbie. This allows everything to slide gracefully edge never to be heard from again. |
Never to be heard FROM again ???
...you mean it talks to you ???
