Snowing in Les Gets - poor vis - we have had a few hours out, best run was probably the Melezes and the snow lovely there. Drying out at home now as in a really crap jacket today, and watching a rather exciting tennis match.

FlyingStantoni, Many thanks. Just returned and I concurr. It cleared momentarily, so we hit a few jumps in the stash and lapped prolays/tannes a couple of times before hitting the chocolate chaud with a hip flask tweak. Back at the ranch with a glass of wine. Shower then launching ourselves into morzine for some Friday night action. If it's clear tomorrow it'll be a cracker with the new snow.

Saturday morning and it doesn't seem to have stopped snowing - can't see anything up the mountain from here in Montriond - neither Lindarets nor the top of the Pleney - so I think as Mrs FS said yesterday a guide dog may be needed

Great snow in Les Gets which we have made the most of first thing - and the sun coming through now, only back home now as waiting for friends to arrive from GVA!

carolh and I had a great day today around Les Gets and Neon. Snow felt lovely just didn't get to see much of it. Nice leisurely lunch at the Pointe de Neon then down. Off to St Jean tomorrow for a quick blast around and then back to England. Back here in March.

Agree very poor viz most of the day today so we skied in the trees in Morzine in the morning, a bit of Mt Chery around lunch time and really enjoyed the view from the Grande Ourse at lunchtime - oh look, we can actually see the chairlift!

Had bad visibility for the three days I was on the snow in PdS (Fri to Sun) but didn't impact too much as I was hanging out with a beginner. It was lovely to not see grass this year!

Lovely couple of days which saw amazing snow spoiled somewhat by terrible viz. Sunday saw us spend the whole day in the Lindarette trees. There is a great little off-piste run accessed off of the top of the express lift. I think we did it 11 times!
Today was better first thing and we managed to drop downto Lidarettes from the top of the lift from Plaine Dranse which was lovely untracked powder for a couple of hundred yards. Fornet was good although getting tracked out and then the cloud descended and it was skiing by feel time again!
Can sympathise with an earlier poster who mentioned a customer feeling sick. I experienced my fast real white out and Got really motion sick
Anyway. Sat in Geneva airport about to board. Another 6 weeks until Im back in the PDS.

Markoncarp, I'd never really considered motion sickness in a whiteout Now that I think about it, there was one particular day in Flaine a few years back when I felt rough but put that down to the whole horrible descent!

Lou, I had it the other day over in Chatel up highish - felt like morning sickness and that was a long time ago! We dropped down lower and as soon as the viz cleared I was fine. Very grateful at the moment for the Morzine trees.

We need pictoral evidence!
I see the title of this thread has changed? PDS has been dropped for Chatel so is it now only the French side? Only I'm off to Morgins soon, do we need to start another thread for reports from the Swiss side?
I just like to know that everything is in it's proper place.

Today was GORGEOUS! we parked at Nyon and played around up there - then up to Chamoissiere - was very fun watching everyone come down, a bit like wacky races. Mr NN managed to hurt his ankle but he knows the rules (no friends on a powder day) so we carried on up over into Les Gets - Rainfolly then up la rosta and round to the Melezes down to Perrieres. I think the flat blue track bit classifies as cross country snowboarding! Then we made our way back over to Nyon for my favourite burger stop (whats it called? on the left just before the Chamois red run, hmmm anyway - their reblochon and bacon burger is ace!) and then back down to the car. Dropped my board into Coq & Bull, on a recommendation of a boarder who works at another ski/board servicing shop and our friends who can't stop going on about how great the service is. Fingers crossed for more powder tomorrow - should get out by about 2 depending on how grot the chalets are - boo hiss to work!
