Charli939, get yourself over the back to Champagny en Vanoise. Catch the Funiplagne form Plagne Centre and go over the back from the top. Some great fun of friendly pistes to be had over there. It is usually quiet, one of my all time favourite ski areas.

gwaelod, just spoke to our Chalet hosts in Les Coches, they've been there 11 years and reckon this is the 2nd biggest snowfall they have seen there.
Never happened before a single lift has opened though !

Runs to Montalbert are lovely. Also runs from the top of Arpette down Dos Rond and Pierre Blanches to Montchavin are great. Its actually great all over the area. You will have a ball.

I must say it is all looking very promising and with temps expected to stay low xmas is looking a great prospect. Expect the cannons to stay on over next few days to increase the base

Had a quick visit to La Plagne as well and it was possible to have a blast on the race course which was fun. Roads here also clear and plenty of snow everywhere. Hope to meet up with some of you soon, I am going to try to get over to montalbert while the snow is good at the weekend or early next week. If you are coming out PM me if you like so we can arrange to meet for a beer.

Les Crozats, down of Les Inversion of Roche De Mio. This was red 2 years ago, did not do but know someon who skied it at the time and said ti wasn't to bad.

gwaelod, I'd wait and see on conditions, IMVHO, blacks can change massively day by day depending on wether they are icy, or with a nice soft fresh layer, and also how many moguls they have.
I remember many years back I was skiing with a friend who really wanted to do a black. We skied a black at Tignes that was perfect for her, smooth, wide and fresh snow on it.
By the time we met her for lunch and got her back there it was all mogulled up and loads more difficult!

IMHO of the 3 Morbleu is the easiest, Les etroits top section is challenging run out is flat along the valley floor. Haven't done Les Coqs.
Mercedes is a lovely black run up on Verdons.
Planning to do Les Crozats at last this Christmas because hopefully with all this snow it will be open!
as Kitenski says it all depends on the piste conditions
