slippy, sorry, I'm not sure about Ramsau. It might be worth keeping an eye on this thread for current conditions in Austria - but I doubt anyone will be able to tell you what the snow will be doing by 7 January yet ~ just keep praying to the snow gods!

slippy, I use this link for the Schladming area - http://en.skiamade.com/ if you go to webcams (near the top right) and click on the green Schladming/Dachstein/Tauern area, there are some rollover webcams. Currently it is showing snow on the ground at the bottom of Hauser Kaibling (728m elevation).

slippy, that would probably be usual for this time of year, but temps are set to rise quite dramatically over the next couple of days, so it will almost definitely disappear  (plenty of time for a change to good news before you go though).
