Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

There seems to be lots of links on different threads for webcams, and I thought it would be really helpful if they could all be gathered together in one place, so you can access the ones you are interested in in one click...

A couple to start:

Les Arcs

Tignes

Anyone else got any more?

(Thanks to andy for the snoweye Les Arcs link)

Nothing like hi-res grass! wink

It will be fun to watch the snow rise as the season progresses though...

rob@rar, thanks!

The problem with the snoweye site is you do need quite good European geography if you want to know what is happening in a particular resort. Either you need to know the region or, for Switzerland, whether it is in the north/south/east/west of the country.

So I thought webcam links to the particular ski resort might be useful for those more geographically challenged (ie: ME! Embarassed )

Snoweye does have a search function if you're looking for a particular resort but don't know where it's located (I've used it several times because my sense of geography is notoriously poor Embarassed )

rob@rar, Aha! That might solve my problem - thanks! Just need a bit more snow now (although Les Arcs looks reassuringly white in parts).

I will go and search for the search on snoweye (it's probably bloody obvious! Embarassed )

EDIT: It is bloody obvious, I'd just thought that was for Google!!!!

Arabba looks remarkably brown in the webcams, but does look like there is manmade snow on some runs and they seem to be starting to make some snow on some others - but forecast is still fro quite warm weather with snow at altitude, but possibly rain at resort level. Just 18 days to go - maybe I should pack my rockhoppers rather than my brand new tele skis.

my favourite webcam of all time is in Val Thoren, it pans a full 360 degrees and you can play back a quick slide show of the previous day, very cool and useful
