@nunex, there are a number of large apartments / chalets to be found on the usual tourist office website https://www.stantonamarlberg.com/de though all of these will be self catering. Catered chalets are less common. There are some UK companies though how many of them will be running chalets in the upcoming season is an open question, simply do a search on Google but you are likely to find a focus on the more expensive end of the market. I believe there are some Dutch and Scandinavian companies running chalets but that might be out of date info. Again contacting the tourist office is probably a good first step.

Jules was given notice at the beginning of last season.. There maybe a new location but because of CV19 this may be on hold...

@davidthornton, Apres ski as it was previously won't exist IMHO, it's not off, it will be different. Maybe more like what the English pubs I've been to have done, outside only, max groups of 6 who are in a household on one table, service to the table, no live music etc et

The rules for bars and restaurants in Austria are clearly set out (in German) on the Corona traffic light site https://corona-ampel.gv.at/ , no reason to think those in ski resorts will be any different.
In "green" ie low risk areas that means (via Google translate)
Normal operation under increased hygienic conditions
Curfew at 1.00 a.m.
Comply with distance rules between visitor groups (no restriction on numbers in a group) or tables and at the buffet or other suitable protective measures
In "yellow" ie raised risk areas

I suspect if the risk goes higher then there wont be much skiing anyway in that particular area so the rules for having a beer will be rather moot.
The rules dont specifically mention live music etc but it seems clear that no traditional apres such as the Moose / KK or clubs like the Piccadilly will be not be allowed for the time being. I have however read of some places (I believe in Sölden but might be wrong) that are planning something along the lines of "normal" apres, we shall see.

I wonder how the crowds in the mountain restaurants, eg Gampen & Galzig, will be managed. Reducing capacity by removing chairs would only create a bigger crowd in the foyer areas. I also could not image how such restaurants could be converted to table service.
Managing numbers on the ski buses could also be an interesting exercise.
It will be a different ski season, assuming it goes ahead.

@ulmerhutte, Restaurants are not a big issue as you have to be seated anyway, no standing at the bar. Maybe there could be some reduction in the number of places though generally that hasnt happened much up to now though most people sit outside. Masks have to be worn whilst moving around, that would apply to queuing for food.
Buses more difficult to manage numbers perhaps simply more of them?
In any case visitors numbers are likely to be sharply down, dont think there will be many visitors from the southern hemisphere!
In all of this predicting what will be happening in a weeks time let alone three months time is rather pointless.

Gampen and Rendl restaurants, in particular, would be almost impossible to manage under Covid circumstances, especially Rendl where it is the only restaurant on that mountain. Outside seating during a blizzard? The interiors of those places in bad weather are usually intensely crowded. Then you have the lift systems, with restricted seats/places there would be big queues, Galzigbahn and Gampenbahn at 10am!!! As mentioned, also the skibuses.
Of course visitor numbers could be well down voluntarily, so that would help manage numbers on the mountains, but many skiers will still want their 'fix' in 2021.
IMHO the only practical solution would be for officialdom to limit the number of beds available, say reduce by 50%. Obviously, compensation would have to be paid to hoteliers and gasthaus owners based on occupancy rates from previous winters. That would be easy to apply as police road checkpoints would only allow through people with bookings. Same at the station. No day visitors.

@stanton, those sort of "rules" have been in force here in Bavaria since the Gasthofs reopened 4 months ago, nothing particularly new about them. Similar"rules" were in force when I was in Italy last month and I guess in most countries around Europe.

@Steilhang, bad for business. There's a noticeable decline in retail and restaurant visitors when masks are required, and their own advisor stated that they made no difference to the infection rate. Concern over German tourists has caused them to bring masks back from tomorrow, as well as a 10 person limit on group sizes in restaurants and indoor meetings, weddings etc. in public.

Mountainwatch has gone big. Their forecasts however often prove to be, well, “optimistic”. That said, a moot point in September. The mountains will inevitably cycle through green to white, and back again, many times before the winter cover is established.

Bearing in mind, the resorts that are likely to be closed are those with a young clientele and those who like to party and drink, I think St Anton is a very risky place to book a holiday for the 20-21 season...

Whether spots like the Moose will even bother opening is open to question, they will only be able to offer seated service whether indoors or outside which is hardly what they are set up for. Basically ski and either quiet meal and drink sitting at a table or eat in your apartment. St Anton not likely to be any more of a risk than anywhere else.

@cameronphillips2000, unless they are going to try to start up private (and illegal) parties then they will be sorely disappointed. Anyone inclined to ignore the rules might find that the Austrian Police will be far more efficient in dealing with this than in the UK and they will very quickly be escorted out of the country! It will also be in the interest of all the hotel and chalet owners to ensure all their guests keep to the rules.

I live near a university. They all just bought beers from Tescos and sat out in the road outside the line of pubs after ten last night.
They don't distance on the footpaths, in the supermarkets etc.
Sad to say bu the young are nowhere near as careful as the elderly with their distancing. .....

@cameronphillips2000, compared to other Austrian villages, St.Anton has a relative high percentage of guests coming from overseas (flying). Hence it is to be expected that St.Anton will suffer more from Corona than villages with a predominantly continental (German, Dutch) clientele (by car).
It will be quiet probably, everywhere.
Assuming of course that lifts will open at all this december....

I would have thought the Moose could still make decent money even with a very different offering than in normal years. They have a lot of seating space inside and outside even in the normal configuration, and even more if they use more of the downstairs area which is usually packed with people standing. At lunchtime it's usually fairly popular for eating so maybe the evening time will just be more like a normal lunchtime. They have a small number of staff who work there all year round so they may just hire a smaller number of staff to offer a different style of business. I like it in there at lunchtime, it's quite laid back and you get to know a few of the staff which is handy when you need to get served at busy times. The places that I cannot see how it can work are Pub 37 - it's so small it's impossible to keep distance between people and the Piccadilly which relies on live music and lots of people standing.
The underground is going to be difficult too. People are normally seated quite close and the tables are big, Joan won't be able to just move people onto tables with a load of other people that they don't know which is how things normally work in there.
