I think Jonnyboy93 is correct and the lifts are opening from the 15th this year. The ski test is scheduled for the weekend 16th/17th.

I’ve got a hire car sorted so can always head through to Cham or hot foot it to Cervinia if needed.

Oh bum holes. We’ve decided to come out 13-18 Dec because we assumed the ski test would be the weekend before and we could avoid “death by Tour” as everyone needs to get that lift to take their skis back! Morzine opens on 16th so if the snow’s good we can avoid the weekend. Think we migh shift our flights and come out 14th though - only £25 to switch flights.

Well we’re past the summer solstice so 23/24. Looks a bit thin for a ski though

Lots of work starting up in PDS this week, in addition to stuff that’s already happening / happened.
A few things I recall:
- canons going in on the bottom of Proclou,
- work on Abricotine to make the final flat bit easier (and less likely to get washed away),
- new canons on pleney (although I have to admit I can’t recall if there were previously canons there in the past),
- new pipework for more canons on top of Mossette?

I don’t know know how to start new threads, never done one, can’t see any buttons.
My summer / autumn pictures are confined to a dusty hard drive, just a bunch of 1’s and 0’s.
A bit like when the tree falls it causes a disturbance in the air pressure field in the woods and that pressure field emanates away from the fallen tree. The physics are unrelated to anyone being there to hear the sound. So there was no out loud noise without human ear drums to decipher the vibrations. Squirrels though….run away.

We had a belting TdF trip in July, sadly missing out on MTB this week (but Pidders isn’t giving his rainbow stripes a run out as otherwise engaged on Tour of Britain).
I got so cheesed off with England’s ineptitude I decided to sack off the Argentina game this weekend but off to Nice for Japan, then a week commuting back and forth from Morzine to Lyon for a few NZ and France games at the end of September.
Then the weather watching starts in earnest - have got a weekend at the emd of November planned for some easy skinning and sliding before the lifts open.
