True, but at the same time we were 1.28 vs Euro and we're now at 1.43, so Switzerland is as expensive as it was a year ago (i.e. pretty expensive still) while the rest of Europe has become ~12% cheaper. Switzerland may be affordable (ish) again but it's still gone up a fair whack in price compared to the alternatives.
The strong Pound has meant I can afford two trips again next year though, despite changing jobs and taking a huge cut in salary, so I'm massively happy. It's a good time to be a British skier

Switzerland has also had negative inflation on consumer goods (-1.4%), I imagine in relation to the strength against the Euro to encourage shoppers to buy local rather than importing goods, so again it has got a bit cheaper still
