Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A snowHead
Hi There
I was out in Les Gets Sat 30th March to April 6th. Whilst we were there there were a huge number of skiers with a variety of disabilities using many different methods of skiing. The skiers all had high viz vests on with a website on the back which for the life in me I cannot remember!
I would love to get in touch with this company. I'm currently doing an occupational therapy degree and am considering a research project looking at the benefits of adaptive skiing.
I would be grateful if anyone's memory is better than mine who remembers those skiers!!!
Many Thanks
Jo

, I think they were a Dutch group - and they were staying in La Turche - but just asked my husband and he thinks they were a Belgian group - so Belgian or Dutch - and the name they had on their vests was something like Aviva - but it wasn't Aviva - sure it started Av - so not much help.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

, well done Jo, your memory must be a more efficient filing system than mine.
One of the benefits of adaptive skiing always appears to me to be the effect that it has on everyone else - skiers are always happy to wait patiently in lift queues and take that extra bit of care. I recall being in Niederau in Austria a few years ago when there was a championship for disabled skiers. The resort was quite busy at the time and there is often a bit of pushing and shoving on the steps up to the gondola but it was remarkable how that all stopped when the competitors appeared and had to be loaded up by the lifties (who normally could be a bit grumpy too!) who took immense care and pride in what they were doing. Just makes those who are not affected so very grateful.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

, might be of help for your research but apparently Combloux is where they train the trainers/guides.
