Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

....anyone demo'd or have any experience on these?

Snowinn (shoddy sevice i know) have these at £260, seems like a bargain, but i a little worried about speed limit as well as these being to much for my ability (i am rubbish off piste but want to progress .... and go fast)

these were the first fatter skis I got, I really liked them but they are reasonably stiff, the newer ones with rocker should make them a bit easier to ski in tough snow and I wouldn't worry about a speed limit, 260 is a good price, does that include bindings?

+1 first pair of fat ski's I had, nice and stiff - helped me start my offpiste journey.

Cheers all,

Windymiller, were yours fully rockered like the 2013 model? If so did you notice any issues on piste? (these would be my do everything ski)

Lyseyf, No bindings, is OK though as ski's will go on my wall till i find a deal on bindings Very Happy

Also they only have 171's in, at 5'11 85kg i guess i should get 179's. Hoping the shorter lenghth would be a good offset against my abilty level ??

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

+1 here. I have been using the bridges(2012 model, fully rockered) as my 1 ski quiver this season and find them to be an excellent compromise for both on piste and off piste.

You will not have a problem on piste, they behave very well and I do not notice the width under foot.

MrAC, much earlier model (pre all this fancy rocker stuff) 2007/8 - all in I had a brilliant time on them and skied them regularly until this season
when I moved up to something fatter/longer and greener (preachers) Happy

MrAC, short length and your wish to "go fast" don't really go well together...........

MrAC I had 179cms and they were pre rocker, I wouldn't have wanted them shorter, I'm 5'9.
