 Poster: A snowHead

I gather from reading snowheads that it's possible to "trial" one day of the SCGB ski guiding service (in Zermatt, Switzerland - nothing to do with the issues in France). We'd like to try that out before signing up to the club; if we like it and think it valuable then we'll probably join, since we want to explore a few resorts and I think it'd be a good intro.
The thing is, I can't seem to find on the SCGB Website (or anywhere on SH) how one would sign up for such a trial. Do I just turn up in Zermatt, find the local SCGB rep and ask? How do I find them? I can see that according to http://www.skiclub.co.uk/skiclub/skiresorts/skiclubleaders.aspx/Zermatt there will be two reps there on the dates we're going to be there (arriving 10/04) -- should I try getting in contact with them directly? There's a link to "pre-register" with a leader, but that is actually a link to the joining page of the club - I don't want to join yet, I want to try it out first and see!
Any thoughts would be welcome

Best way is to turn up at the social hour the evening before you want your trial (the programme shows what standard of skiing they plan to do each day) then make arrangements to ski with them.

I went to Zermatt on my own a few years ago. I had an excellent week skiing with the reps and socialising in the evening.

Szymon, You will find a lot depends on the particular rep you end up with. I joined a SCGB rep for a day in Cervinia some years ago and enjoyed it so much I joined SCGB and skiied the rest of the week with him. Since then I skiied part of a day with a rep in Obergurgl a couple of years ago, and a day with a rep in Iscghl this year. As a result I will not be renewing my SCGB subscription.
