Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A snowHead
Hi all,
Will be in Laax / Flims next week and, since I snapped my ski at the end of my season in Canada a couple of years ago
, I'm going to have to rent some skis. Anyone know the best place?
Will be staying in Flims Waldhaus so looks like the options are
Skiset
(Mountain Fantasy) or Free Ski Rental (owned by the lift company). Free Ski Rental look to be a good £50-£60 more expensive, but the selection looks quite a lot better than
Skiset
. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance!

Some
skiset
shops are great, others are total rubbish so u take your chances. Problem is, if it's bad u are reliant upon the
skiset
agency to do the decent thing by u as your deal is with them rather than the shop. The past couple of years snowHeads had a good relatoonship with
skiset
and with our help, problems tended to be rectified pretty well. Unfortunately the guy pulling the strings there now is some what less scrupulous so personally, I'd say use them only as a last resort. Try phoning the shop you'd prefer and telling them you'd prefer to deal direct to save complications. In my experience they tend to match the best deal to win your custom.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?
