Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Exchanging Bindings on Skis

I have purchased a set of Crusair skis with Diamir Fritchi Explore tour bindings fitted. Would I be able to remove these bindings and fit Daimir Fritchi Freerider Pro bindings to the skis Puzzled

As the bindings are from the same manufacture, are the fixings points the same Puzzled

The Explores sound quite old, and it looks like Fritschi changed their mounting pattern for their newer and shinier offerings. I couldn't tell you for sure, though. Might be worth asking this guy: http://thepisteoffice.com/ if he knows any better. He also posts on here as Spyderjon.

Unfortunately the mounting positions on the Explore & the FR Pro are different & if they're both the same length binding mounted at similar boot sole lengths then they'll conflict. If you advise me of the following I can check properly for you:

- what length the Explore is
- what BSL the Explore's have been mounted to
- your boot sole length
