Poster: A snowHead

Really sorry if this has been asked before; new to the forum so not quite sure how to work the search effectively!
We're off to Les Gets next week and my daughter will turn 5 the day we arrive. They offer free lift passes for under 5's. I'm wondering whether they require proof of DOB when you ask for the free ticket for under 5's and whether there's any way we'll get away without a pass for her. She's a complete beginner so will be lucky to be using much more than the magic carpet lifts in any case I imagine.
Thanks in advance!
Sophie

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

I've taken my son as a 3 and a 4 year old, he just scoots under the barrier. I did ask at the ticket desk if he needed anything or they wanted to see proof of DOB but they declined.
We did a couple of chair and button lifts with him in January and they weren't at all bothered about it.
Will she be having lessons?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks for your reply MMI; yes, she'll be having lessons with LGS so will need to at least get up the red eggs every day. The FAQ for the ticket office says something about getting a handsfree card for an under 5 but that it's free (or presumably free other than the cost of the actual card); I'm just wondering whether it's worth at least trying to brazen it out

Depends how excited she is to be turning 5 I suppose My experience is that they don't even give the under 5's a card (I know it says they do on the site but they haven't for us the last two seasons) but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask.
Is she having private lessons or has LGS started doing groups for under 6's?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I don't think I'll give her the option to be excited... I'm too mean. That's great, thank you. In that case we'll definitely try it on.
We're going with a large group of friends so we have Andy and Mark for a couple of hours every day and they'll split the kids between them as they see fit. You're quite right that they don't do their group stuff for under 6s although when we discussed it I got the impression that they would take a 5 year old non-beginner in their groups.

Les Gets is a fab place to ski and I have been taught by both Andy and Mark they both make skiing fun. Have you been on the les gets website they might have some answers on there? or you could buy the pass daily and see how she gets on. If i remeber rightly you need a pass to use on the carpet run now unforunalty. Hope you all have a good week in Les Gets it was fab skiing when I went last month
