Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Private instructor -meribel

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi all,

I'm in meribel from Thursday 7 March to Tuesday 12 March for a long weekend. Does anybody know of a good (English Speaking) instructor to spend a couple of hours per day with my 5 year old son?

I've contacted a number of the English speaking ski schools who tell me I'm out of sync with the typical ski school programme (though possibility of joining for Sunday and Monday. Possibly Tuesday morning too) and are quoting crazy prices for 1-2-1 private lessons.

On a similar vein - is anyone on this forum a qualified nanny based on meribel with time to work over that weekend?

Cheers

Adie

Adie1981, welcome to Snowheads. snowHead The ESF will have plenty of English speaking instructors in Meribel - according to their website a 1.30h private lesson (plenty for a 5 year old) is €87 - expensive because this is peak season. However, they already be fully booked - I'd get on to them as soon as possible.

Claude Decagny. www.snowarea.net. Based in the 3 valleys, children adore him, take a look at his website, one of the instructors on the EoSB bash. Highly recommended, he taught my son.
