Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Cheeeeeap Goggles

They are not fancy brand, they are fairly robust, and the lens looks good for bright sunshine, and they are cheap.

Dramatically better than the 22 quid price tag, mine just arrived and I'm fairly impressed. They look a lot like many more expensive brands, and at this price I can afford to buy 3 or 4 pairs if I manage to faceplant onto these and they don't survive.

Also available from sports direct, whose website is gash on a tablet.

Skied with a South African guy last year who, if he wasn't whingeing about his bindings not being right, etc etc he was whingeing about his expensive-ish goggles misting up, so went out and bought some new ones at about £200!!!!!, they still misted up. He said
"Aren't you having problems?"
"No, mine are completely clear"
"Wow, they must be really good, where did you get them?"
"Erm..... Lidl, £15"

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

And the pale yellow safety googles from B&Q are even cheaper, frameless and probably just as much use in flat light.

They do not include UV protection (en166.1f).

You can get safety googles (try Bolle on ebay) or cycle glasses with uv protection for about 10 pounds - it is not worth using anything without UV protection for skiing.
