Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hello all - does anyone know a decent transfer company? We are being quoted 400 Swiss each way by our operator and there are only 2 of us so.....................

Is the train a valid option?

Thanks for any help!

I have used Alpybus a few times without any problems. Have not used them for a couple of season but should be a lot cheaper than what you were quoted.

Train is 100% doable:
55chf per person each way....N.B. you cannot buy your ticket on the train.
Train station in Le Chable is 50m from the gondola, you can buy your holiday lift pas there for your holiday.
The free shuttle buses all pass Medran lift station for you to get to your accomodation.

Alpybus have a good reputation too.

fordy11, train is a valid option although you will need to arrange a taxi from the end station or use lift system.

www.alpybus.com ?

Who is the operator by the way?

Not sure of the operator - it's a flat rented through a friend who knows the resort manager. The company that owns it will do the transfer at 400 CHF each way.

Alpybus seems to be roughly £80 per person return ticket, so can't fault that at all really.

Thanks guys.

fordy11, that's a reasonable rate, train unlikely to be hugely different.

CHF 400.- is a little steep!!
