Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Get on the train to Zell am Ziller there are tons of opportunities there - side piste and under lifts. I thought Zell was much better you can see the runs on the way up.

Under the 150 is good just be aware of the ava risk.

As for mayrhofen there is another thread on in lots of side stuff between blue 2 and 20 - there is a drag lift (t-bar) in finkenberg that hardly anyone goes on as it only serves one run (maybe blue 4). There is a little hut at the top - go left as soon as you get off - deep powder. As soon as it levels off a bit you need to turn back left towards the lift or as I did ended up skiing down through a few huts and down a road and which eventually joined on to a piste.

I would try and get a guide I went with Hannes Pirker http://www.skipower.at, someone in my group went with http://www.mountain-sports-zillertal.com who were a bit easier, Hannes will push you hard.

There is plenty of good off piste available in Mayrhofen, various routes off of the top of the Horberg, either directly off the front from the Schneekar hut, or round the back down into the Horbergtal (valley of death) (comes out at the fun park) or the other side down to the unterbergalm lift.

Once up the 150 tux you can again head down into the valley of death or better still head higher up to the top of Horbergjoch entrace into the valley of death.

There is also plenty of opportunities between black 12 and red 13 and when you head up there on the Nordhangnahn, just when you think you reach the crest there is a little extra dip that hold lots of fresh that most want try.

Also if you come down red 16 from the top of the 150TUX, there are also plenty routes off to the left that will take you back to the base of the 150.

Anyway, if you are a noob, get some local help till you know the terrain.

Also, I don't recall the 150TUX goes any where near red 7/27??? Also be aware that that some of the runs do not exsist anymore due restructuring some runs last last Summer.... New chair lift down to red 12 & 13 joins at bottom of chair lift but no idea where black 12 joins the new lift, also run 11a seems to have disappeared. Paper Piste maps do not reflect the billboard maps so advise some caution until it all gets sorted wink

Post above updated with correct run number from top to bottom of 150 Tux. The first half of this video is off the side of that run, second half is on the Finkenberg run off the 150.

The new chair from the bottom of 12/13 is a big improvement over the old one.
