Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Arizona Snowbowl

Will be in AZ for a few weeks and planning to take a few days at the snowbowl. Any one have any experience or knowledge of this area. Our skiing level is around the advanced level and interested to see what challenges this will provide - will 2 days be enough or to long? i have looked at the trail map and it looks like there are several runs in the upper bowl area but not sure how these are accessed as the trail map does not show a lift that services this area unless there is a route from the top of the Agassiz chair.

We will be taking our own boots but plan on renting ski's. does the rental shop at the carpark offer a good selection of demo ski's or are we better off hiring from the likes of Ski Pro in Phoenix?

any info is appreciated.

I've not found an outdoor ski area on earth you can't eke out for a couple of days at least -- some US resorts mark bowl runs that are accessed by hilking ridges, no idea if this is the case here. Renting off hill is generally cheaper but if you have problems with gear on hill is obviously better.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I have been there once about 3 years ago. It is fun for a day but that is about it really unless it has been expanded since then. You get a good view of the Grand Canyon from one of the lifts. I seem to remember that the selection of skis etc from the rental shop there was very limited.
